Bharati Darpan – Multidisciplinary International Journal of Humanities, Social Sciences and Science welcomes original scholarly contributions from researchers, academicians, educators, professionals, practitioners, and postgraduate scholars working across humanities, social sciences, science, and interdisciplinary fields.

Authors are encouraged to carefully review the journal’s aims, scope, policies, and submission requirements before submitting a manuscript.

Before Submission

Authors should ensure that the manuscript:

  • Falls within the aims and scope of the journal;

  • Presents original and unpublished work;

  • Is not under consideration by another journal;

  • Has been approved by all listed authors;

  • Follows the journal’s Author Guidelines;

  • Contains accurate citations and references;

  • Complies with applicable research and publication ethics;

  • Is written in clear and professional academic English;

  • Includes complete author and affiliation details.

Submission of the same manuscript to more than one journal at the same time is not permitted.

Manuscript Preparation

Manuscripts should generally include:

  1. Title of the manuscript;

  2. Full author details;

  3. Abstract;

  4. Keywords;

  5. Introduction;

  6. Review of literature;

  7. Research objectives;

  8. Methodology;

  9. Results or analysis;

  10. Discussion;

  11. Conclusion;

  12. References.

The structure may vary depending on the subject area and manuscript type.

Authors should prepare their manuscripts in an editable Microsoft Word file using clear headings, consistent formatting, and properly numbered tables and figures.

Author Details

Each manuscript should provide:

  • Full name of every author;

  • Academic designation;

  • Department;

  • Institutional affiliation;

  • City, state, and country;

  • Email address;

  • ORCID ID, where available;

  • Identification of the corresponding author.

All author details must be accurate at the time of submission.

Authorship Responsibility

Only individuals who have made a meaningful academic contribution to the research and manuscript should be listed as authors.

All authors must:

  • Approve the final manuscript;

  • Agree to the order of authorship;

  • Accept responsibility for their contribution;

  • Disclose relevant conflicts of interest;

  • Cooperate with editorial queries and revision requests.

Guest, honorary, purchased, or misleading authorship is not acceptable.

Originality and Plagiarism

Authors must submit original work and properly acknowledge all sources used in the manuscript.

The journal may screen submissions using plagiarism-detection software. Manuscripts may be rejected where they contain:

  • Unattributed copied content;

  • Duplicate publication;

  • Substantial text overlap;

  • Fabricated or falsified information;

  • Inaccurate citations;

  • Manipulated references;

  • Unauthorised use of copyrighted material.

Authors remain fully responsible for the originality and integrity of their work.

Research Ethics

Research involving human participants, animals, personal information, vulnerable populations, or sensitive data must comply with applicable ethical and legal requirements.

Where relevant, authors should include:

  • Ethics committee approval;

  • Approval or reference number;

  • Informed consent statement;

  • Permission from the concerned institution;

  • Protection of participant privacy;

  • Details of any ethical limitations.

The editorial team may request supporting documentation before publication.

Use of Artificial Intelligence

Authors must disclose any significant use of generative artificial intelligence tools in drafting, editing, translating, analysing, or presenting manuscript content.

Artificial intelligence tools cannot be listed as authors.

Authors are responsible for:

  • Verifying AI-assisted content;

  • Checking factual accuracy;

  • Confirming all references;

  • Preventing plagiarism;

  • Protecting confidential information;

  • Correcting misleading or fabricated information.

Undisclosed or inappropriate use of artificial intelligence may lead to rejection or corrective editorial action.

Conflict of Interest

Authors must disclose any financial, professional, institutional, personal, or academic interest that could influence the research or its interpretation.

Where no conflict exists, authors may state:

“The authors declare that there is no conflict of interest regarding the publication of this manuscript.”

Funding Disclosure

Authors should identify any grant, sponsorship, institutional assistance, or financial support received for the study.

Where no funding was received, authors may state:

“The authors received no specific funding for this research.”

Copyright and Permissions

Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce copyrighted material, including:

  • Previously published figures;

  • Tables;

  • Photographs;

  • Maps;

  • Questionnaires;

  • Illustrations;

  • Extensive text extracts;

  • Translated protected material.

Proper acknowledgment and source information must be provided.

Submission Process

Authors should submit the manuscript through the journal’s official submission system or approved editorial communication channel.

The submission should include:

  • Complete manuscript file;

  • Author details;

  • Abstract and keywords;

  • Tables and figures;

  • Ethical approval information, where applicable;

  • Conflict-of-interest statement;

  • Funding statement;

  • Permissions for third-party material, where required.

Authors should retain a copy of all submitted files and correspondence.

Initial Editorial Screening

After submission, the manuscript is reviewed by the editorial team for:

  • Relevance to the journal’s scope;

  • Originality;

  • Basic academic quality;

  • Compliance with formatting requirements;

  • Ethical suitability;

  • Language and presentation;

  • Completeness of documentation.

A manuscript may be returned for correction or rejected before peer review if it does not meet the journal’s basic requirements.

Peer-Review Process

Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are evaluated through a double-blind peer-review process.

The identity of the author is not disclosed to reviewers, and reviewer identities are not disclosed to authors.

Reviewers assess manuscripts on the basis of:

  • Originality;

  • Academic relevance;

  • Research design;

  • Methodological quality;

  • Reliability of findings;

  • Quality of analysis;

  • Clarity of presentation;

  • Ethical compliance;

  • Contribution to knowledge.

Revision of Manuscripts

Where revision is required, authors should submit:

  • A revised manuscript;

  • A detailed point-by-point response to reviewer comments;

  • An explanation for any recommendation not followed;

  • A highlighted or tracked-change version, where requested.

Authors should respond carefully, respectfully, and completely to all reviewer and editorial observations.

Editorial Decisions

Possible editorial decisions include:

  • Accept without revision;

  • Accept with minor revision;

  • Reconsider after major revision;

  • Reject with an invitation to resubmit;

  • Reject.

The final decision is made by the Editor-in-Chief or an authorised editor after considering the reviewers’ reports and the revised manuscript.

Article Processing Charges

The journal currently follows a no-fee publication model.

Article Processing Charge: ₹0

Authors are not charged for:

  • Manuscript submission;

  • Editorial screening;

  • Peer review;

  • Revision;

  • Acceptance;

  • Online publication.

The absence of a publication fee does not influence the editorial decision.

After Acceptance

Following acceptance, the manuscript may undergo:

  • Copyediting;

  • Language checking;

  • Reference verification;

  • Formatting;

  • Layout preparation;

  • Proofreading.

Authors may receive a proof for final review. Only minor corrections should normally be requested at this stage.

Corrections and Retractions

Authors must promptly inform the journal if they discover a significant error in a submitted or published article.

Depending on the nature of the issue, the journal may publish:

  • A correction;

  • An amendment;

  • An expression of concern;

  • A retraction;

  • A replacement notice.

Authors are expected to cooperate fully with any investigation.

Author Communication

The corresponding author is responsible for communication with the journal and for keeping all co-authors informed about:

  • Submission status;

  • Reviewer comments;

  • Revision requirements;

  • Editorial decisions;

  • Proof approval;

  • Publication details.

All communication should remain professional and respectful.
